A couple of weeks ago, Jacob went on a social ’shoot out’, organized by fellow wedding photographer Ari Simphoukham.  These events give  us wedding photographers a chance to explore a different genre of photography and to experiment with new styles and ideas – which can eventually be brought across into our regular wedding work.  Models were: Kristine Rae Payongayong, Michelle Honey and Elizabeth Rodreguez, and the make-up artist was Christina Chen.  Big thanks from Jacob to all the above plus the leading photographers Jason, Greg & Conrad.

Last week, we sent Jacob to shoot Jamie and Charlie’s engagement session at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. Despite it never raining in California it was forecast for rain on the afternoon of their shoot – but these two are obviously charmed – and the weather remained glorious!  Jacob said that they were THE perfect couple to photograph as they were so laid back and easy going – in fact Jacob was so pleased with the shoot he stayed up all night to edit every single shot – clearly consumed by the creative passion – nice work!

Not everyone is good at 'aesthetic' jumping, but Jamie and Charlie make it look really easy!
